Kim Jones has consistently pushed the boundaries of fashion through his designs and collaborations. After studying menswear fashion design at Central Saint Martins, Jones launched his own label in 2003, which quickly earned him a cult following. His early work caught the eye of luxury brand Dunhill, where he served as creative director before moving to Louis Vuitton in 2011. At Louis Vuitton, Jones seamlessly tied streetwear influences and luxury craftsmanship, culminating into the groundbreaking collaboration with Supreme in 2017.

Jones’ vision extends beyond traditional fashion design. He often draws inspiration from his travels and personal interests. He has cited a wide range of influences—from contemporary art to historical fashion. “I love the freedom of creating without limitations,” Jones remarked in an interview. This philosophy has defined his tenure at Dior Men, introducing new materials and collaborating with artists including KAWS and Daniel Arsham.

In September 2020, Jones was appointed as the artistic director of Fendi couture and womenswear, a role that allowed him to further explore his creative vision. His debut collection for Fendi was both a respectful nod to Karl Lagerfeld’s legacy at Fendi and a bold step forward under Jones’ appointment. Jones’ ability to reinterpret and modernize brand identities while respecting their heritage has solidified his reputation as a transformative force. He continues to inspire and influence the new generation of designers by creating a dialogue between past and present.
